Hotels, conference centres and function venues have a screen problem that offices do not: the room is a different room every day. Monday it is a workshop, Tuesday a product launch, Wednesday a wedding with no screen at all. Whatever you install has to move, set up fast and work for a stranger.
The panel goes on wheels
For a venue, the mount is the decision. A floor stand with 360 degree wheels turns a panel into a piece of furniture that staff can roll from the store room to the breakout room and through a standard doorway on the way. There is nothing drilled into the wall, so nothing is left behind when the room is reset, and one panel can serve several rooms across a week.
A 75 inch ZM on a stand covers a typical breakout room. For a plenary space, step up to the 86 inch.
The presenter has never seen it before
This is the part that usually goes wrong. The ZM panels run whiteboarding, a browser and wireless casting without a PC, so there is no login and no input to find. For the presenter's own laptop, keep a screen-share dongle with the stand: it plugs into any laptop, one button puts them on the panel, and it needs no app and no access to your network. That last point matters in a venue, where guests should not be on the house Wi-Fi.
Today's programme, without a signwriter
At the entrance to a function floor, the 27 inch rotating screen stands portrait showing what is on and where. Update the running order in seconds when the schedule changes, which it will. It runs on battery, so it can stand wherever the sightline is best rather than wherever there is a floor box.
Back of house
Shift briefings and service training use the same panel type. A 65 inch ZM in the staff room starts with one button, and casting means the duty manager can put a roster or a floor plan up from their phone.
Buying for a floor of rooms
We quote panels and stands as one line per room type so a fit-out can be approved as a single number. Ordered together, panel, stand and PC save 15%. Freight is a flat rate per item and capped, so a venue ordering four rooms at once is not paying four times the freight of one. Collection from Christchurch is free if you would rather send a van.
Tell us how many rooms, and how often they change shape, and we will spec the kit and the stands.
