1. Introduction

OEM Audio Ltd complies with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (the Act) when dealing with personal information. Personal information is information about an identifiable individual (a natural person). This policy sets out how we will collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information. This policy does not limit or exclude any of your rights under the Act. We collect personal information directly from you when you use our website and services, when you contact us by telephone or email, or when you buy our products. We may collect your personal information from other sources if you agree or if the information is publicly available.

5. Sharing your personal information

We may share your personal information with trusted third parties that work with us to help us deliver our products and services, such as another company within our group, our IT and computing support services, a credit reference agency for the purpose of credit checking, or marketing agencies that analyse anonymous data. We may also share your personal information when you agree or when we are required to by law.

We use third-party payment gateways to process payments securely. When you make a purchase on our website, your payment information is securely transmitted to our payment processor. We do not store or have access to your full card information. Our payment providers comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) and other relevant industry standards to protect your data.

6. Storing and protecting your personal information

We will take reasonable steps to keep your personal information safe from loss, unauthorised activity, or other misuse. No data sent over the internet can be guaranteed as completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information sent from or to you. 7. Accessing and correcting your personal information

You have the right to request access to and correction of any personal information that we hold about you. When you request a copy of your personal information, we will let you know whether we can provide it within 20 working days. Before we process your request, we will take steps to confirm your identity.

While we take reasonable steps to maintain secure internet connections, if you provide us with personal information over the internet, the provision of that information is at your own risk. We use cookies to monitor use of the website. You may disable cookies by changing the settings on your browser, although this may mean you cannot use all the features of the website.
