Frequently asked questions
Common questions from schools, councils and businesses specifying screens and mini PCs for classrooms, boardrooms and meeting rooms. If your question isn't answered here, get in touch — we'd rather have the conversation before you buy than after.
Interactive screens and panels
What size panel do we need for a classroom or boardroom?
For most classrooms and mid-size meeting rooms, a 75 inch panel keeps content readable from the back row. Larger spaces such as halls, lecture rooms or anywhere deeper than about six metres are better served by an 86 inch. Smaller huddle and breakout rooms work well with a 55 to 65 inch panel.
Do we need a separate computer to use the panel?
No. The Leaderhub panels run as standalone all-in-one devices with a built-in whiteboard, browser and wireless screen sharing. Many sites still add a mini PC when they want full Windows software, existing school or corporate applications, or a familiar desktop environment for staff.
Can a panel replace our projector and whiteboard entirely?
Yes, that is what they are designed for. One panel covers presentation, whiteboarding, video calls and digital signage, which removes projector lamp replacements, dimmed-room requirements and the need for separate whiteboard wall space.
Mini PCs
Why choose a mini PC over a standard desktop for a meeting room?
Mini PCs are quieter, mount directly behind the screen and keep cabling contained. In a room where people are teaching or holding a conversation, fan noise from a full-size tower is genuinely distracting, and a tower also needs shelf or floor space that most meeting rooms do not have.
What specification do we need?
For video calls, browsers, presentations and shared documents, the 8GB model handles it comfortably. Choose the 16GB LP5C where staff run heavier software, work across several applications at once, or where you want more headroom before the machine needs replacing.
Do the mini PCs come with Windows licensed?
Yes. Both models ship with Windows 11 Pro, which supports domain join and standard school or corporate device management.
Installation and mounting
Should we wall-mount the screen or use a floor stand?
Wall mounts suit rooms with a single fixed use, such as boardrooms, dedicated training rooms and reception areas. Floor stands suit spaces that get reconfigured regularly, or where one panel needs to move between rooms. Either way, larger panels need a mount rated for the weight and fixed into solid substrate rather than plasterboard.
Can one panel be shared between several rooms?
Yes, on a mobile floor stand. This is a common approach for schools trialling interactive panels before a wider rollout, or for organisations that only need the technology in a given room a few times a week.
Buying
Can we see a demonstration before committing?
Yes. For schools and larger organisations we would generally rather walk through the options with you first, because the right screen size and mounting choice depends on the room. Contact us to arrange it.
